Eleventh Annual World-Premiere Gala
On Saturday, 1rd March, 2008 patrons attending our World-Premiere Gala will witness the awarding of the most prestigious scholarship given statewide to high-school singers; the GRADY-RAYAM PRIZE In Sacred Music. Four students will receive scholarship awards, and winning vocalists will join our world-premiere artist Tai Oney and composer-in-residence Carl MaultsBy to present a recital of Negro spiritual songs. The 2008 Gala event will be held at the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel . The evening features the Chairman's reception and a sumptuous plated dinner meal, followed by the awards program with recital performances. It closes with champagne and desserts served to the music of a jazz combo for an afterglow effect. Tickets are $150.00 per person, with corporate table sponsorships available for purchase as well.
