What is The "Negro Spiritual" Scholarship Foundation?

The "Negro Spiritual" Scholarship Foundation, Inc. was organized in 1996. The mission of the foundation is to preserve the heritage of the solo voice singing of America’s Negro spiritual songs while giving mentorship, training and college entry tuition assistance to deserving minority students. Governed by a diverse and dedicated Board of Directors, our agency is certified as a not for profit corporation by the State of Florida, and enjoys 501 (c)(3) status as a legal tax-exempt entity registered with the Internal Revenue Service. The Foundation and its programs depend on fundraising and the generosity of corporate friends and individual benefactors for financial support. All gifts and contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
