College Bound

Central to the Foundation’s mission is helping young people make a successful transition from high school to a college campus.  We counsel every student who participates in our GRADY-RAYAM PRIZE competitions (and their parents) on college selection and application. We track the college-bound progress of GRAYAM-RAYAM PRIZE winners and, because we require them to be enrolled and matriculating at a college or university within two years of high school graduation before the tuition assistance grants awarded to them take effect, offer mentorship to help them gain admission.  We seek out audition opportunities with reputable music programs that can offer additional scholarship and grant-in aid monies for any GRADY-RAYAM PRIZE student with a promising voice suitable to classical singing. If your institution would like to recruit among our student pool and/or audition top voices that emerge from our competition cycle, please contact our Music & Education Director via e-mail: ewashington@negrospiritual.org
